My name is Orna Reuven, I’m a clinical psychologist (Ph. D.) and psychoanalyst in private practice in Tel-Aviv. I treat adults combining tools from various psychotherapy schools of thought, from psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy to cognitive understanding of anxiety and depression. I teach at Tel-Aviv Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis, and at Tel-Aviv University (clinical psychology graduate students and interdisciplinary programs for undergraduate psychology and humanities students). I’m the co-author of ”People Don’t Drown in Living Rooms” (IPBooks 2023), a modern epistolary novel written in two voices, portraying a psychologist and patient caught in an impossible situation. I research and write of the complexities of love and passion in the therapeutic relationship, of meeting points between psychoanalysis and the arts, and of the widespread effects of anxiety and trauma.

I treat adults at my private practice in central Tel-Aviv and via zoom, combining tools from various psychotherapy schools of thought.

Only during our conversations, we’ve learnt that Lew was already very ill with cancer.
